I made up a language of signs. I wanted to teach it to the others so that we could talk through the windows, but Miss Justineau said that I couldn't.
You made up a language of signs? [ That actually makes him grin a bit. ] I know something about that, actually. I'll tell you in a second. Why couldn't you talk to the others?
[She hesitates, then turns on the video and signs something quickly. It's definitely not ASL or any other known sign language, but she's fast and fluid with it, and clearly practiced.]
